On July 23-24, the border policemen from the Operative-investigation Office of the MIA Border Police Operative-investigation main Office carried out operative-investigation measures and detained five citizens of Georgia on the charge of violation of the rules of load transport on the economic border of Georgia. The suspects, Gocha M., Noe G., Givi G., Dato L. and Besik G. had illegally imported GEL 15 981,81 worth of 40 979 pills of “Actifed” without official border control from Turkey, hidden in a bus secret compartment on July 19. 7820 pills of “Actifed and GEL 21 800 have been seized from the apartment of the detainee, Besik Gogilashvili, “NIKA” Ltd and Individual enterpriser “Iveta M.” authorized pharmacies, where the suspects intended its illegal distribution.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing on the above-mentioned fact according to the Criminal Code of Georgia, Article 186, Part II, subparagraph D, Article 192, Part II, subparagraph A and Article 214, Part VI.
